ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Zachary Ireland

Zachary Ireland is a first-year student at the University of Toronto planning to specialize in theoretical physics. Zach has conducted research on the absorption of fast neutrons (as byproducts of fission), as it relates to nuclear power—a topic that Zach is very invested in. Zach loves his research; he enjoys himself most when focusing on physics and mathematics. Other activities of Zach’s have included interning at the University of Winnipeg’s Department of Physics, working as a mathematics tutor, and participating in the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets. Zach hopes to one day obtain a PhD in theoretical physics and teach/research at a university.
