Phillipe Nadeau – Section Editor

Philippe envisions a future where robots will have the ability to interact intelligently and safely with their environment using perception, prior knowledge, common sense and reasoning. His current research direction lies at the intersection of perception and planning with an emphasis on efficient algorithms that can be deployed on real robots in human-centric environments. He has performed research in multiple labs in Montreal, Berkeley, Toronto, and presented his work at the largest robotics conferences. Earning a Bachelor's from ETS in Systems Engineering, he is now pursuing a robotics PhD with Prof. Jonathan Kelly.

Arpit Kumar

Arpit is an aspiring computer scientist currently in his first year at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Beyond the world of code and algorithms, he thrives on delving into research projects and learning about science and economic topics. When he’s not working, he plays basketball with his friends or plays video games. He is a nature enthusiast, often venturing outdoors to take photos and enjoy the weather. With a commitment to both scholarly excellence and personal enrichment, he is poised to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, making the most of this exciting journey.

Jada Lynch

Jada is an undergraduate student at Dalhousie University, where she studies atmospheric physics and mathematics. Jada is interested in climate change and atmospheric chemistry. Currently, she is working on a source apportionment project, where she uses atmospheric transport models and emission inventories to model black carbon emissions at various locations in Canada, with the goal of finding seasonal variations of emissions and major source contributors. She aspires to make contributions to the mitigation of pollutants, and the development of Lagrangian particle disperson models. Beyond her academic persuits, she enjoys reading, philosophical writing, baking and playing the flute.

Aaryan Patel

Aaryan is a 4th year student at University of Windsor studying Biochemistry & Biomedical Sciences! He has had extensive experience teaching computer science and competitive programming. This is his 3rd year editing for the CSFJ and he is looking forward to reading all the awesome papers this year! He has always been passionate about teaching youth to problem solve in creative ways, as he believes the people that will make a real difference in society are those that think outside the box. In his free time, he enjoys playing badminton and strategy tabletop games!
