Hannah Ramsay – Section Editor

Hannah is currently an MD/PhD Candidate at Queen’s University, studying Chemistry. Previously, she completed a concurrent education degree and obtained her BSc in Life Sciences and BEd in Secondary Education, also at Queen’s. Her research focuses on the applications of silver clusters, which are really, really small particles of silver that can be used for the combined diagnosis and treatment of disease. Hannah is passionate about science and teaching, and helping others use science to understand the world around them. In her spare time, you can find Hannah on the soccer field or hitting the ski slopes!


Katie Manas

Katie Manas is a first year Master of Chemistry student at Queen’s University. Her research focuses on the organic synthesis of potential cancer therapy drugs, which bridges her passion for chemistry and medicine. She recently spent an engaging summer in Dresden, Germany conducting research and traveling throughout Europe. Katie has experience organizing the Canadian Undergraduate Conference on Healthcare and volunteering with organizations that empower women in STEM and sustainability at Queen’s. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and painting. She is excited to share her enthusiasm for research and scientific communication with the next generation of scientists!

Kimberly Tok

Kimberly is a graduate of the Masters of Applied Science program in chemical engineering from the University of Toronto. Her thesis investigated the economic feasibility and environmental performance of making chemicals from biomass. Prior to pursuing her masters, she worked as a process engineer in the Oil and Gas industry.
